What a mask does to a someone?

"Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth."
- Oscar Wilde

A Mask Both Conceals and Reveals. How true is this?

If you could live another identity that is unknown to everyone you know, how will you live it? Will it be very different from how your current life is? Why is that so? Does this mean that how you are living is just how you think others want you to live and that you are living a life based on what others expect you to do?

If you were to be cut of from everyone you know perhaps given a One-way ticket to Mars. What kind of life will you live there? Will you transform yourself from a quiet introvert to a social animal vice versa? Or will you start trying thing you never did before like be a comedian, an actor or maybe a rock star?

If you were to be anonymous to your family and friends, will you tell them how you really feel about them? How you hate certain things they do or how you love certain things that they despise.

What if I say that there is no mask but just a comfort zone we lived in. If we were to move out of our comfort zone and start doing thing without worrying about. Will we be able to live our life better?
